Passion Is Important In Vital Real Estate Role

Katie Knight, Property Manager and Broker Owner of RE/MAX Success, personifies the ultimate specialist in Property Management, which was recognised with the RE/MAX Australia Property Manager of the Year award announced at Brisbane City Hall last weekend.

This award goes to the person determined to have the most outstanding property management practices, professionalism and customer service throughout the previous calendar year, and who has grown property management business over that year.

Katie Knight is the only person to have won the REIQ Awards for Excellence ‘Property Manager of the Year Award’ five times – in 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014 and 2016 – and is a ten-times finalist, having claimed the title or been a finalist since the very first time she nominated.

“In order to win such awards I believe Property Management must be your passion, and that’s what makes each win all the more special,” said Ms Knight.

In a second cause for celebration on the night, RE/MAX Success was named the Top Sales Office for 2016 growth, an award based on percentage commission growth and also placed third nationally for the number of sales transactions during the year.

Then, for the hat trick, Megan Dempsey was acclaimed as RE/MAX Australia’s Office Support Person of the Year.

Mrs Dempsey (nee Knight) has been with RE/MAX Success for almost 19 years, since its inception in August 1998. Ms Knight affirmed that Megan’s role within the organization, coupled with her intimate knowledge of the business, was critical to their ongoing success.

“The person charged with supporting Brokers, Sales Associates and Property Managers significantly contributes to the overall success of the business,” said RE/MAX Managing Director, Michael Davoren.

“Our administrative people attend to the finer points of running a business and are critical to maintaining a positive healthy environment.”

Top performing Sales Associates, Melita Bell & Daniel Burrett, accepted awards for Chairman’s Club status on the night, with Melita also receiving recognition for being ranked second nationally within the franchise for the number of settled sales during 2016.

In fact, the entire RE/MAX Success sales team achieved impressive results – each collecting  an award for their respective performances during 2016: Jacqui Walker, achieved Platinum Award status whilst Tiffany Krause picked up a Gold Club Award and Gary Klein received a 100% Club Award.

Ms Knight said that behind any award was a massive team effort, and a team that is constantly striving to stay at the very top.

“Our goal is more than customer satisfaction; our service is intended as a stand-out experience. When we deliver an exceptional real estate experience, we have success.

“When you strive to remain at the top, it’s gratifying to have the recognition that tells you that you are there,” said Ms Knight who, along with the award-winning RE/MAX Success team, can be contacted on 46386100 to assist with any of your real estate needs.
